A Valentine's Day Short Film Festival held at PhilaMOCA
The Goal of the Festival
This is inspired by the film 50 Kisses, in which 50 directors/writers came together to create an anthology of romantic Valentine's themed shorts. Our goal is similar, join filmmakers from all over the world for a whole day of kisses on the screen!
Rules
Our second iteration of the Mausoleum Makeout Marathon is now accepting short and feature length films!We're looking to host a film festival with one feature film and a group of shorts before. All films must be of the horror genre and contain a kiss of some kind! Feel free to think outside the box with it!Feature Film Rules:

Festival Date Sunday February 14th 2027
Film submissions are welcome starting oct 1st until December 21st.
Notification of films selected for the festival will be January 10th.All directors from the films selected will have a free ticket to the festival itself on Sunday February 14th 2027. Due to limited capacity for seating we can only offer one ticket per film at this time.Tickets sales for the festival will start January 14th with discount options as always for those who bring Valentine's day cards <3
Refreshments are provided including; snacks, jello shots, non-alcoholic drinks.

Vince Cafarello
a filmmaker, writer, and festival runner himself, Vince has previously run the Lambertville Halloween Film Festival the last few years. With a love for spooky things and the lore of running his own Slenderman web series for over ten years, he's the perfect person to witness some scary kisses!
is an award-winning film critic and the founder of the New Jersey Film Critics Circle. She has been writing about film for over a decade and is best known for her personalized movie recommendation videos.
festival runner and Valentine's Day fanatic; they've been curating marathons, zines, and movie lists for over eight years for this holiday! An actor and filmmaker themselves, they love seeing what kisses people will come up with!

Last Years Festival
On 2/14/26 at PhilaMOCA, we screened 27 short films for a fully sold out audience! Audience members were encouraged to bring their own Valentine's to exchange with others in the crowd while they enjoyed the assortment of films and food!Special thanks to Eric at PhilaMOCA, Rob, Ariel, Joel, & Pony for all your contributions and help with this festival!
Free Online Festival
On Sunday February the 22nd a collection of the short films (32 in total) played with two secret feature length film picks from myself and 1-800-HOTDUCK
who also created a fantastic compilation piece of shorts to show!The entire online festival went over 8 hours and while people watched, we raised over $100 for charity giving donations to South Phillies Community Fridge, Food Not Bombs, and Punks with Lunch!You can read more about these charities below and check out the Letterboxd list of all the films contributed!
